Pedro Rubio

Spain, coach, facilitator, trainer, Spanish and English

Most of my professional career has been in Human Resources Organisation and Development in different companies and in different sectors.  I led several change processes within these companies that ranged from cultural change and reengineering of processes to mergers.   The most recent was when I was the Business Change Manager during the integration of United Biscuits and Kraft foods in Spain and Portugal.

I have also been responsible for developing and implementing innovative methodologies in HR, including designing a new Compensation & Benefits system linked to assessment tools for performance reviews, performance feedback, 360º assessments and team building.

In 2007 I created Accendo to help develop people, teams and organisations and I do this through experiential learning and coaching.  In 2015 I created, together with 2 others, the Inner Game Applications Spain, in collaboration with Tim Gallwey, who is considered one of the fathers of modern coaching.  We apply his methodology, The Inner Game, in the workplace to increase job satisfaction by developing awareness, learning and enjoyment.

I believe that the combined force of experiential learning and coaching is the most powerful tool we can offer anyone to catalyse personal development. The real improvement doesn’t happen when we learn something new; it happens when we develop ourselves, when we change our attitudes and behaviours.

I studied Social Science and have several qualifications in Human Resources Management, Organizational Development Consultancy, Co-active Coaching, Co-active Leadership , Organizational Relationships and Systems Coaching, Team Diagnostic Assessment , The Leadership Circle and NonViolent Communication (IIT).  I am also certified as a coach by the International Coach Federation.

I live in Spain, looking out onto the Mediterranean, in a small village called Gavá, to the south of Barcelona.

I work in Spanish and English.
